  • What makes HDC Calgary stand out?

    HDC Calgary provides high-quality hockey development led by experienced coaches and staff. Our focus is on skill development, confidence building, and creating a positive environment where players can reach their full potential.

  • What is the maximum number of participants for development programs?

    To ensure quality instruction and individual attention, most on-ice development sessions are capped at 14 skaters. Some programs may have different capacities based on age group and program format.


  • What is the average cost per development session?

    Most development sessions average approximately $45 per session. Pricing varies depending on the program, coach, and session length.

  • Can I pay drop in instead of a full program?

    Yes! We understand every family's schedule and budget are different. Drop-in options may be available for select programs. Contact taylor@calgaryhdc.ca and we'll help find the best option for your player.

  • Is the 3 on 3 league considered a rogue league?

    No. HDC's 3-on-3 games and tournaments are considered development programs. Players from any team or association are welcome to participate, and involvement will not affect their eligibility with their current hockey organization.

  • How long are most development programs?

    Most HDC development programs run for 10 weeks, with one 60-minute session per week.

  • Can community hockey players attend HDC development programs?

    Absolutely. HDC programs are designed to complement community hockey. Players can participate in our development sessions while continuing to play for their community team.

  • Are HDC programs regulated?

    Yes. HDC operates in accordance with the standards, rules, and regulations established by Hockey Canada and Hockey Alberta.

  • What age groups do you offer programs for?

    HDC offers programs for players ranging from U7 to U18, depending on the specific program. Age eligibility is listed on each program registration page.

  • Do I need to be a Calgary Bandits player to participate?

    No. HDC programs are open to players from all teams, associations, and skill levels unless otherwise specified.
